booze is cheap enough already, the ability to use alcohol-based skills ain't limited by anything. whoever uses them has some booze in storage, either from farming or waiting to drink up towards his title. getting a keg or some ale out in kamadan is about three minutes shouting. thus the 'no no no, it would be too easy to use some pve skills!' is redundant.
and, as it's my personal opinion, i believe the farm titles, including drunkard, would benefit from lowering the prices of consumables needed. so i wouldn't cry if i saw alcohol at 90g/each, even though i've already got my drunkard maxed and would only further resell the alcohol.

what i don't like is another useless idea of useless item that would only take up the space. as mentioned earlier, booze is already easy to get. adding a new item to nick would lower the chance of getting other items (minis or el tonic), while giving you nothing in exchange. it's just an idea of adding an equalising item - we have el fireworks, el tonics, so lets get el sweets/alcohol. it's not needed and serves no purpose at all.

But then there's no point.

The entire idea is to circumvent the stupid idea of "buy this stuff like potions (as a shitty game would do it) to use skills fully" with an unlimited uses version that does not affect titles but DOES affect skills.

The fact that certain skills (Drunken Master, for example) require the use of alcohol to get the full benefits is ridiculous. This is a handy fix for it.

Yeah... I don't understand why some people "don't want GW2 to turn into every other MMO" but at the same time defend to the death those very "other MMO-like features" that are in GW1... simply because they are used to it.
